Retina & Eye Consultants is looking for an enthusiastic, patient centred orthoptist to join our well-established practice, serving the St George and Sutherland communities for over 25 years.

With 8 orthoptists and 9 ophthalmologists across multiple subspecialties—including vitreo retinal, medical retina, paediatrics, oculoplastic, glaucoma, oncology and general ophthalmology you’ll never be bored! You’ll use a wide range of your skills every day and have the opportunity to learn new ones.

Your Role:

You’ll be an integral part of our clinical team, contributing to high quality patient care through:

• Orthoptic work ups and screening
• Diagnostic testing: OCT, HVF, IOL Master, angiography, fundus photography
• Assisting with minor procedures: intravitreal injections, biopsies, and more
• Sterilisation and instrument management
• Surgical bookings and theatre list coordination
Triage of referrals and patient queries
• Supporting ophthalmologists across multiple subspecialties
• Providing a calm, reassuring presence for patients
