What we are looking for:
• Excellent clinical assessment and communication skills
• 2 years or more experience preferred
• Professional, patient-focused approach, caring and empathetic
• Strong work ethic and commitment to continuous learning
• Permanent part-time role, Level 2 or above classification (MA000027)
• 2-3 days per week (Tuesday to Thursday) – this can be flexible
About VisionCare Eye Specialists:
We’re a dedicated ophthalmology practice committed to providing comprehensive eye care and professional development for our team. We are a small team of 4 caring ophthalmologists.
Key responsibilities
– Conduct comprehensive ophthalmic assessments and diagnostic testing, including OCT, visual fields and imaging
– Assist ophthalmologists with patient assessment, treatment planning and pre/post-operative care
– Perform cataract work-ups, including biometry and IOL calculations
– Assess and manage strabismus, amblyopia and binocular vision conditions
– Assist with intravitreal injections and minor procedures as required
– Identify and escalate urgent or significant clinical findings
– Provide clear, compassionate patient education and support
– Maintain accurate clinical records and work collaboratively with the clinical team and other staff members
– Contribute to a high standard of patient care, clinical safety and continuous improvement
