About the Opportunity
We are seeking a full-time Clinical Lead who combines clinical expertise with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding patient care. This is more than just a clinical role – as the Clinical Lead, you will also be the second in charge, a key leader working closely with the Clinic Director to oversee clinic operations, drive innovation and ensure we deliver the gold standard of care for every patient.
This role is perfect for an Orthoptist or Optometrist ready to step up into leadership while staying hands-on in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.
What you will be doing
Deliver comprehensive assessments, diagnostics, and treatment plans alongside leading ophthalmologists and optometrists
Lead and support a passionate admin and clinical team – fostering collaboration, training, and excellence
Drive operational efficiency, rostering, and clinic growth initiatives
Champion innovation and implement cutting-edge ophthalmic techniques
Provide exceptional patient education, pre- and post-operative care, and support throughout their journey
Maintain gold-standard documentation, safety, and compliance practices
About you
You are motivated, detail-oriented and loves making a difference. You combine clinical expertise with leadership skills and a natural flair for building relationships. You will also bring:
Relevant tertiary qualification in Orthoptics or Optometry
Registration with the Australian Orthoptic Board/Optometry Board of Australia is desirable
Strong understanding of eye anatomy, visual function, and eye movement disorders
Diagnostic expertise and confidence with advanced ophthalmic equipment
Extensive knowledge and keen interest in Refractive surgeries
Able to work in an agile and adaptive manner
Strong work ethic with ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Detail oriented
Leadership skills with a passion for developing others
Business acumen, problem-solving and learning mindset
Warm, compassionate approach with a genuine focus on patient experience
