Orthoptist/Optometrist

Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Orthoptist to join Eye Specialist Practice in Bondi Junction, close to public transport. You will be an integral member of our friendly and dedicated team. This is a comprehensive ophthalmology practice, specializing in glaucoma.

The successful applicant will have:

Excellent communication and customer service skills, an attention to detail, and a caring, professional manner.

Skills and efficiency in performing orthoptic tasks including history-taking, visual acuity, refraction, ocular motility and cover testing, intraocular pressure measurement, visual fields, OCTs, biometry, retinal imaging, pentacam scans, and assisting with sterile procedures.

Ability and willingness to assist with reception duties, patient billing and surgical bookings when required.

Ability to assist with the day-to-day smooth running of the practice, including ordering ophthalmic supplies, preparing operating theatre lists and reviewing letters and reports.

This is a permanent part-time position. The hours are Monday 12.30pm-5pm, Tuesday 8am-5pm, Wednesday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-1pm. Variations in these hours, or additional hours of work, may be able to be accommodated for a suitable applicant.
