Associate Lecturer, Orthoptics

A Level A teaching focused position will support high-quality teaching and learning within the Discipline of Orthoptics.

With guidance from subject coordinators, this position delivers high-quality teaching in various formats, lectures, tutorials, practical and clinical sessions, both in person and online. Responsibilities include providing prompt feedback, collaborating on curriculum design, sharing practices within La Trobe’s SOLT, supporting knowledge transfer, building local partnerships, and completing assigned administrative duties.

Lecturer, Orthoptics

A Level B teaching focused position will involve developing curriculum, teaching and undertaking scholarly work relevant to Orthoptics, contributing to both undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the discipline.

The position includes delivering high-quality teaching across multiple formats, leading teaching improvements, supervising Honours and/or Masters students, evaluating teaching effectiveness with evidence-based methods, sharing best practices within La Trobe’s SOLT, and performing other tasks as assigned by department leadership.
