Horizon Surgical Eye Centre is a state of the art privately owned Ophthalmology specialist practice located at John Flynn Private Hospital at Tugun on the Gold Coast.
Here is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a small, friendly, growing and highly professional team dedicated to providing the highest level of personal and individualised care in the treatment of a range of eye conditions to achieve the best possible outcome for each patient.
You could come from a range of backgrounds such as Orthoptist, Optometrist, Optical Technician, overseas trained Ophthalmologist or Biomedical Sciences.
You will be comfortable and excited to be:
• Assisting the Ophthalmologists and Clinical Optometrist to obtain patient histories and carry out patient screening tests
• Supporting administration team with critical patient service needs
• Assisting the Ophthalmologists with minor procedures
• Maintaining medical stock supplies
• Liaising with patients to arrange further visits / surgery
• Supporting the administration team with critical patient service needs
• Working with other team members to ensure theatre lists are organised
• Liaising with other health professionals eg optometrists and GPs
• Explaining treatment procedures and Ophthalmologists’ instructions to patients
