		Job Title: Orthoptist - Richmond, NSW Job Type: Full Time Location: Richmond, NSW Date Advertised: 26/07/2025 Description: Pure Sight Eye Surgeons is an established practice by leading Refractive Surgeon, Dr Alison Chiu, in the heart of Richmond in Sydney’s greater west. At Pure Sight, we provide high-level ophthalmic care where the patient is our primary focus. As our practice continues to grow, we now find ourselves needing the skills of another Orthoptist. The practice is conveniently located, in a direction that is against traditional Sydney traffic, has ample parking and is also conveniently located within footsteps of the local train station and shopping centre. To secure this role you will need to be confident, hardworking, be able to multi-task and have excellent organizational skills. You will need to be team friendly with a nurturing manner. Most importantly, you must be able to thrive working at a fast pace in our busy practice! Core aspects of this role will include the following: - Assessing & Counselling patients of all ages including subjective refractions, post-op reviews and follow up appointments (assessments include; laser vision correction, cataract and IOL/ICL and general) - Triage of new patients/referrals to assist reception with bookings - Supporting Ophthalmologists in minor ops - Providing assistance to our Head Orthoptist with the clinical trials undertaken by the practice - Assisting with arranging CPD events for the doctors of the practice - Use of work up equipment: IOL Master 700, Zeiss OCT, Humphrey Visual Field Machine, Visucam, Pentacam, Autorefractor, Specular Microscope, iCare and Goldmann Applanation. Essential Criteria needed: - Approved qualifications in Orthoptics as recognized by Orthoptics Australia - Current registration with the Australian Orthoptic Board - 1-2yrs prior experience as an Orthoptist (refractive experience preferred) - Interest or willingness to learn about clinical trials & refractive surgery including subjective refraction - Commitment to providing excellent patient care - Professional and immaculately presented If you meet the above requirements and would like to be considered for this role working with our team, please forward your resume/cv with a brief cover letter outlining your suitability for this role.
