		Job Title: Orthoptist - Parramatta, Penrith & Castle Hill, NSW Job Type: Part Time Location: Western Sydney, NSW Date Advertised: 24/07/2025 Description: ORTHOPTIST – PERMANENT PART-TIME AND CASUAL POSITIONS Location: Sydney, NSW Practice Sites: Parramatta, Penrith, Castle Hill Marsden Eye Specialists’ mission is to provide the highest standard of professional care in a friendly and welcoming, patient-focused environment. 1. We are currently seeking an orthoptist to fill a permanent part-time role (4 days per week – Tuesday to Friday). There is also potential to appoint a second permanent part-time orthoptist (3–4 days/week) should the right candidate apply. 2. In addition, we welcome applications from casual orthoptists looking for flexible, regular work. Casual team members can expect a mix of scheduled shifts and short-notice opportunities. ABOUT THE PRACTICE Marsden Eye Specialists is a leading ophthalmology practice with locations in Parramatta, Penrith and Castle Hill. Our large, well-established team operates across: - An on-site accredited day surgery - A laser refractive clinic - A research centre - A variety of orthoptic-led specialty clinics Orthoptists at Marsden are valued team members and are encouraged to be involved in all aspects of the practice. ABOUT THE ROLE Your day-to-day responsibilities will primarily include: - General ophthalmic assessments during patient consultations - Operation of a wide range of diagnostic imaging and testing equipment - Opportunities for involvement in advanced diagnostic, surgical, research or subspecialty clinics depending on interest and experience. Ongoing training and mentorship will be provided for enthusiastic candidates who show initiative.
