		Job Title: Orthoptist - Parramatta NSW Job Type: Part Time Location: Parramatta, NSW Date Advertised: 18/02/2025 Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Orthoptist to join our dynamic team. We are offering Permanent Part time employment at our Day Surgery, located in the Parramatta CBD alongside the beautiful Parramatta River. Parramatta Eye Hospital and Day Surgery has been in operation and supporting the Parramatta community for almost 15 years. We have a team of 11 Ophthalmologists who perform a wide range of ocular procedures including, Cataracts, Laser Cataracts, Micro Glaucoma, Oculoplastic, Lens Replacements, Trabeculectomy and Corneal Surgeries. The team at Parramatta Eye Hospital and Day Surgery are committed to providing an exceptional service of care to our patients and are extensively involved in research and development, using the latest technologies. The orthoptist would be involved in theatres assisting for surgeries. Doing pre work up such as Ascan and Verion. And assisting in surgery admissions. Essential Criteria: Minimum one year experience as Instrument /Circulating, theatre experience National Police Check within the last 12 months Evidence of vaccination/immunity history including COVID-19 Ophthalmic experience Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Patient focused attitude and a compassionate approach to patient care Strong clinical skills, organization and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team Desirable Criteria Laser Safety Training and/or Experience Perioperative experience in broad range of speciality areas Join us in making a difference to the lives of our patients.
