Job Type: Casual with Full-Time Permanent position to be offered in early 2025
About Us: At Eagle Eye Surgeons, we offer advanced laser vision correction (proudly the only clinic in NSW offering Presbyond) and general eye care in a supportive environment. We’re looking for a New Graduate Orthoptist who is not only passionate about eye care but also flexible and ready to take on various office responsibilities in a team-oriented setting.
Role Overview: As a New Graduate Orthoptist, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills as well as assisting in the laser suite and taking on a variety of office tasks.
Key Responsibilities: - You’ll be supporting both clinical and administrative functions, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality patient care. - Perform eye assessments and assist in the laser suite (LASIK/PRK/SMILE Pro/Presbyond), cross linking, retinal and minor op treatments. - Manage patient appointments, records, and follow-ups. - Support front-office tasks, including answering calls, scheduling, and managing patient inquiries. - Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure efficient patient care and clinic operations. - Assist with general office administration and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. - Assist with finalisation of surgical lists, ordering corneal grafts and lens calculations (ICL/ RLE/ Cataracts)
What We’re Looking For: - A completed Orthoptic degree or equivalent qualification. - Recent graduate or less than 1 year of experience in a clinical setting. - Strong understanding of orthoptics, with a keen interest in general, retinal and laser eye care. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Ability to work effectively in a team and independently. - Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with a strong commitment to quality care. - Strong organisational and multitasking abilities. - Flexible, proactive, and eager to contribute to all aspects of clinic operations. - Must hold a drivers license and is willing to travel
