		Job Title: Orthoptist/Ophthalmic Assistant - Penrith, NSW Job Type: Full Time Location: Penrith, NSW Date Advertised: 4/11/2024 Description: Nepean Ophthalmic Surgeons is seeking an Orthoptist/Ophthalmic Assistant for permanent part-time or full-time position. We are one of Sydney’s largest and most experienced ophthalmology practices specialising in diagnosis, treatment and surgery for diseases affecting the retina, macula, and vitreous. Our friendly team consists of 11 ophthalmologists, 3 orthoptists and 2 administrative staff. The Orthoptist will undertake duties including but are not limited to: Patient screening Performing diagnostic scans/tests/imaging Autorefraction and vertometry Cirrus OCT and OCT angiography Fundus photography/OPTOS Fluorescein and ICG angiography IOL Master 700 biometry & Immersion biometry Humphrey Visual Field testing Set up and assistance with minor procedures Patient counselling Surgery bookings Administrative duties Qualifications: Bachelor's and/or Master's degrees in Orthoptics highly desirable. Strong organisational and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. No experience required for this role. Training will be provided.
