		Job Title: Orthoptist/Ophthalmic Assistant (part time/casual) - Campsie, NSW Job Type: Casual Location: Inner West Sydney, NSW Date Advertised: 10/09/2024 Description: iVision Clinic offers patients the highest level of medical care. Our Doctors are highly regarded in the Ophthalmology community. We are looking for a Part-time/casual Orthoptist to join our clinic to provide efficient and effective orthoptic and ophthalmic examinations at iVision Clinic. Your key responsibilities will include, but is not limited to: • Patient screening and workups • Management of patients and patient flow throughout the ophthalmic clinic • Ensure appropriate and accurate testing is performed for patients condition • Patient counselling • Maintenance of sterilisation of instruments and clinical areas • Assisting with intravitreal injections & other minor procedures Knowledge of Diagnostic Equipment include: • Tonometry • Zeiss OCT • Humphrey Visual Field • IOL Master • Autorefraction • Pentacam • Fundus Camera You will need to be able to demonstrate a high level of communication, organisational and planning skills and have an understanding of issues relating to people with blindness, low vision and ageing. To be successful, you will possess approved qualifications in Orthoptics as recognised by the Australian Orthoptic Board and be eligible for registration with the Board. You have client centred approach in identifying individual needs and goals and have an excellent understanding of functional vision testing and an ability to develop strategies to overcome low vision and blindness. Experience would be beneficial but training and support will be provided. Chinese, Vietnamese or Greek speaking candidates are preferred but not essential. New Graduates are welcome to apply.
