		Job Title: Junior Orthoptist - Liverpool, NSW Job Type: Full Time Location: Liverpool, NSW Date Advertised: 28/08/2024 Description: South West Retina is multidisciplinary ophthalmic practice consisting of 15 Ophthalmologists and a highly skilled team of 6 Orthoptists. We are seeking a junior orthoptist to join our friendly team. The applicant must be a highly motivated, team player with excellent communication skills and possess the ability to be proactive and to work autonomously in an extremely busy environment. The role includes but is not limited to: • Patient screening including history taking and performing orthoptic assessments • Performing various diagnostic scans/tests/imaging: -Autorefraction and vertometry -Cirrus OCT and OCT angiography -Fundus photography -Fluorescein and ICG angiography -Anterior segment photography -IOL Master 700 biometry -Immersion/B-Scan ultrasonography -Pentacam corneal topography -Humphrey Visual Field testing • Assisting doctors with minor procedures: -Intravitreal injections -Laser (YAG/SLT) -Chalazions • Assisting with administrative duties when neccessary • Surgical bookings • Clinical trials: - Screening / imaging - Data collection Training will be provided.
