The Lions Eye Institute (LEI) is a not-for-profit centre of excellence that combines world class scientific research into the prevention of blindness with the highest level of eye care delivery. It incorporates one of Australia's largest academic ophthalmic practices, including a Day Surgery Unit, the Lions Eye Bank, Lions Outback Vision, Clinical Trial Department, Laser Vision Centre, Lions Optics and the Lions Save-Sight Foundation WA.

The Opportunity

This is an outstanding opportunity for a committed Orthoptist to work alongside talented and well-respected clinicians, researchers and other ophthalmic health professionals with state of the art ophthalmic imaging equipment and access to the latest treatment.

This position provides the opportunity for diverse experience, career development and will see you working and gaining experience across a wide range of specialty and subspecialty areas in Ophthalmology.

Your Experience

Applicants should ideally possess the following:

Tertiary Qualifications in Orthoptics
Be a registered member with the AOB
Demonstrate knowledge and skills in visual assessments, testing and the provision of ophthalmic services
Ability and enthusiastic to work across or learn all eye subspecialties
Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team
