		Job Title: Orthoptist - Narellan, NSW Job Type: Part Time Location: Narellan, NSW Date Advertised: 30/12/2020 Description: An exciting opportunity for an Orthoptist to join a team of 5 Ophthalmologists and 3 Orthoptists exists. Narellan Eye Specialists is a busy and multidisciplinary ophthalmic practice with sub-specialties in cornea, oculo-plastics, glaucoma, medical retinal and general ophthalmology. Employment type: - Permanent part-time, increasing to full-time in the future Orthoptic role includes but is not limited to: - Patient work ups including history taking / VA - IOP/ HVF/ IOL MASTER / OCT / Fundus photography / angiography - Subjective refractions - Paediatric and Adult Ocular Motility assessments - Patient counselling and consent for procedures - Setting up for minor surgical procedures and assisting with IVT - Instrument sterilization - Refractive surgery and keratoconus work-ups - Management of surgical lists - Collecting of clinical data for various research projects We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual, who works well within a team, has the ability to exhibit high levels of communication and clinical expertise. Critical thinking and initiative is essential. Training and guidance will be provided. Remuneration: - Above award wage- based upon years of clinical experience - Funded educational opportunities (conferences etc.) We are ideally seeking an Orthoptist with previous clinical experience, however new graduates are welcome to apply.
