Clinic Sydney is a boutique Ophthalmic Practice. We are currently
seeking a highly motivated Orthoptist, Ophthalmic Technician
or Optometrist. This role is also suitable for experienced
candidates from other areas such as nursing and biomedical
science degree backgrounds. We sub-specialise in • Cata-
ract surgery • Refractive laser • Lens surgery • Cornea
surgery including Keratoconus and Pterygium • Glaucoma
and General Ophthalmic conditions You will be involved in
a wide range of duties in addition to clinical tasks. There
are opportunities to be involved in patient education, marketing-
, supervision of orthoptic students and assisting with
reception duties when required. You will have the opportunity
to work closely with our Ophthalmologist, with further

thorough assessments of patients presenting with a myriad
of eye conditions. Instillation of drops prior to examination-
, visual acuity and intraocular pressure measurements.
Use of an OCT, IOLMaster, Humphrey visual field analyzer and
Pentacam. • Assist Ophthalmologist with minor surgical procedur-
es such as trans-epithelial collagen cross-linking and
intravitreal injections. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date
patient records. • Coordinating surgical lists and performing
clinical audits. • Maintaining medical stock supplies. • W-
ork closely with the clinic's administrative staff to
ensure smooth patient flow, as well as support the ophthalmologist
across his various locations of practice and surgery
to ensure optimum patient care. Skills required: • Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills. • Strong organizat-
ional skills and meticulous attention to detail. • Commitme-
nt and drive to deliver high-quality patient care. • Reliab-
ility, efficiency and the ability to work under pressure. •-
Work collaboratively within a small team, taking ownership
of tasks. • Competent using Microsoft Office applications
particularly spreadsheets to perform clinical audits. • Expe-
rience with Best Practice VIP software is advantageous
but not essential. Qualifications: • Bachelor of Orthoptics
or equivalent orthoptic qualifications • Registration
with the Australian Orthoptic Board OR • Biomedical Science
or Registered Nursing qualification • Some experience
preferred, training will be provided
