About the Role:
We are currently seeking a skilled
and dedicated Locum Orthoptist to join multiple well-established
healthcare facilities located around Sydney. As a Locum
Orthoptist, you will work alongside a supportive team of healthca-
re professionals, providing high-quality care for patients
with various eye conditions. This is an excellent opportunity
for an experienced Orthoptist looking to contribute their
expertise in a dynamic clinical environment.
Key Responsib-
ilities:
- Conduct comprehensive orthoptic assessments
and investigations, diagnosing and managing visual disorders
such as strabismus, amblyopia, and other ocular motility
issues.
-Provide patient education and offer management advice
on exercises, therapies, and lifestyle changes to improve
visual health.
-Work with ophthalmologists, and other medical
staff to create tailored treatment plans.
- Maintain
accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with
healthcare regulations.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality
care in accordance with best practice guidelines and profession-
al standards.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplin-
ary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements:
-
Proven experience in orthoptic assessments and management
of visual disorders.
- Strong clinical skills, with a
focus on patient care and empathy.
- Excellent communication
and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently
and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work within the demands
of the locum role.
- Previous locum experience is desirable-
, though not essential.
