MetWest Eye Centre is a state-of- -the-art ophthalmic facility located in the heart of Blackto- wn, dedicated to providing exceptional care across a range of eye specialties. Specialising in glaucoma, retina, cornea, and oculoplastics, we offer a comprehensive and patient-foc- used approach to diagnosis, management, and treatment. Our purpose-built consulting rooms are equipped with the latest diagnostic technology, ensuring we deliver the highest standard of care. We are co-located with an accredited onsite day hospital ensuring all our patients eye care needs can be addressed locally.
The Opportunity
MetWest Eye Centre is seeking a Casual or Permanent Part-Time Orthoptist to join our dynamic team of skilled clinical and administrative professionals working alongside eight consulting ophthalmologist- s. Each day offers variety, with opportunities to work across different subspecialties and assist in theatre.
Key Responsibilities
Patient screening and education
Perfor- ming OCT and digital imaging
Assisting with minor procedu- res
Preparing theatre lists
Qualifications & Requireme- nts
Bachelor of Applied Science in Orthoptics or Master of Orthoptics is
required
Experience preferred but not essential
Healthcare worker vaccinations require- d
Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) required
Pl- ease note all applicants must currently possess the right to work permanently in Australia.
