Job Description:
We are a small ophthalmology practice with 4 ophthalmologist-
s, receptionists, orthoptists and technicians. Our doctors
cover specialties in Medical Retina, Uveitis, Glaucoma,
Cataract, Cornea and General Ophthalmology. We are seeking
an Orthoptist to join our lovely team on a Full time, Part time
and/or Casual basis. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Training will be provided.
Duties including but not
limited to:
• General ophthalmology assessment.
• Ancillary
testing including OCT, HVF, Optos, Visucam, Verion, Pentacam,
Autorefractor and IOL Master.
• Assist in the management
of the flow of the clinic, especially during busy periods
• A-
ssist in minor surgical procedures including those requiring
aseptic and sterile techniques as well as managing injectio-
n lists and paperwork
• Assist in the running of the
clinic including general telephone queries and administrative
duties
• Request, order clinic supplies and samples as needed

Minimum Qualification:
• Orthoptic-
s degree or equivalent
