Retina Associates-Chatswood is looking for a motivated individual who is able to work as part of a team, and is keen to develop further skills.
Retina Associates-Ch- atswood is one of the Sydney’s largest and most experienced multi-subspecialty ophthalmology practices. We are located next to Chatswood metro and train station.
Our team is consisting of 13 Ophthalmologists with expertise across Medical Retina, Surgical Retina, Cataract Surgery, Glaucoma, Uveitis, and Oncology, highly skilled group of orthoptists, ophthalmic assistants and administrative staff.
The role includes but is not limited to:
•Patient screening including history taking and performing orthoptic assessments (visual acuity, IOP measurement, refraction, squint exams, colour vision testing etc.)
•Performing various diagnostic scans/tes- ts/imaging:
-Autorefraction and vertometry
-Cirrus OCT and OCT angiography
-Fundus photography
-Fluorescein and ICG angiography
-Anterior segment photography
-IOL Master 700 biometry
-Immersion/B-Scan ultrasonography
-Pentac- am corneal topography
-Humphrey Visual Field testing
•Assisting doctors with minor procedures:
-Intravitr- eal injections
-Photodynamic therapy
-YAG/SLT laser
-Retinal laser
-Cryotherapy
•Assisting with administrative duties including taking phone calls and booking patient appointments
•Surgical bookings
•Clinical trials:
- screening / imaging
- Data collection
The successful candidate will have a professional manner with patients, a mature outlook, excellent telephone skills, professional presentation, high levels of communicatio- n and customer service skills. You will need to have attenti- on to detail and be a team player. Computer literacy is essential.
Both new graduates and experienced Orthoptists are encouraged to apply.
Further training & supervision will be provided for new graduates.
