Job Description:

since 1996. The Role: Exciting opportunities have
become available for qualified Orthoptists and new graduates
to join our Eye Clinic team based in the Northern Beaches
and Darlinghurst. We are currently seeking an Orthoptist to
join our team in a full time 12 month fixed term contract.
Working Monday to Friday between the hours of 6am - 6pm across
both our Brookvale and Darlinghurst sites. The successful
candidate will work in close collaboration with a team
of 8 ophthalmologists in order to provide high level patient
care and satisfaction. Our ophthalmologists specialise in
a wide variety of ophthalmic areas such as Refractive (Advanced
Surface Laser and lensectomy), cataract, Retinal/Vitreo-retin-
al, glaucoma, macula and general. The successful candidat-
e will join us in striving to expand our clinics and be
wholeheartedly interested in patient care and satisfaction

a. Key Responsibilities: Orthoptic work-ups; Refra-
ctions (automated phoropter & digital charts), VA, IOP
checks (Goldmann and iCare tonometer) OCT / OCT fluorescein
angiography / fundus camera Visual assessment and clinical
history Topography (orbscan/pentacam) Ultrasound (A-Scan
and immersion) Humphrey Visual Fields Wavefront aberrometry
(Schwind) Specular microscopy Laser suitability screening As-
sistance in procedures: intravitreal injections, chalazion
removal etc. In order to be successful in this role
you will have: A Bachelors or Masters Degree in Health
Science or relevant Orthoptics qualifications Knowledge and
experience in refractive surgery (preferred) A professional
and enthusiastic individual with time management, organizational
and problem-solving skills The ability to work independent-
ly as well as working as an essential member of a cohesive
team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills If
