		Job Title: Senior Orthoptist - Bondi Junction, NSW Job Type: Full Time Location: Bondi Junction NSW 2022 Date Advertised: 12/12/2024 Description: About us Bondi Eye Doctors is a modern ophthalmology practice consisting of 7 ophthalmologists and a highly skilled team of clinical staff. We service all areas of ophthalmology including cornea, cataract, refractive, retinal, oculo-plastics, paediatric, glaucoma and neuro. About the role We are seeking an Orthoptist to join our friendly team in January 2025! New graduates are encouraged to apply! Regular work hours are dependent on Ophthalmologist’s schedules but are routinely from 7.30am -5pm Monday to Friday, with some flexible rostering for early starts or late finishes. You should be ready to take the initiative, build strong relationships with doctors, and lead a motivated team to success. Your skills and experience will include: • Patient consultation and assessment • Use of ophthalmic equipment including slit lamp, phoropter, IOL Master 700, Zeiss OCT, Humphrey Visual Field, Pentacam, and iTrace. • Assisting in minor surgical procedures including retinal and oculoplastic procedures • Pre-operative and post-operative patient care • Intraocular lens calculations and preparation of surgical lists • Triage of patients • Auditing and research projects • Medical instrument sterilisation • Other administrative duties as required. About you • Hold a formal qualification in Orthoptics • Registration with the Australian Orthoptic Board or willingness to obtain • Experience in a multidisciplinary practice is desired • Ability to use electronic medical record systems, Genie experience is desired. • Excellent time management with an eye for detail • Demonstrated ability to work well both in a team and autonomously • Strong interpersonal skills • High level of professionalism • Excellent communication skills • Sound computer literacy skills • Hold a current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain • Obtain a National Police Check What we Offer • A supportive and collaborative work environment. • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement throughout your employment to further broaden your skillset amongst a large variety of specialties. • Convenient and accessible location in Westfield Bondi Junction alongside the Bondi Junction Transport Interchange, and with onsite staff parking options available. • Competitive salary and benefits package.
