		Job Title: Locum Orthoptist - Sydney Metro & Regional NSW Job Type: Casual Location: Sydney Metropolitan Area and Regional NSW Date Advertised: 29/01/2023 Description: Universal Eye Health Services (formerly iHealth Support & Associates) is seeking for motivated orthoptists to engage in our orthoptic locum service. Universal Eye Health has built a reputation in assisting eye clinics with this service. We have provided the orthoptic locum service to more than 50 clinics around Sydney, as well as regional NSW, since 2016, and we are continually receiving calls from clinics to fill in sick and annual leave positions. This locum role is a casual position due to unforeseen staffing circumstances in eye clinics. The orthoptist must: • be willing to accept locum shifts anywhere around Sydney (and optional in the regional NSW); • be confident and trustworthy to execute relevant tests in accordance to the patient’s eye conditions; • have excellent communication skills; • preferably be registered with the Australian Orthoptic Board; and • preferably have a valid Working With Children Check. As an orthoptic locum, it offers an opportunity to work and learn from various respected doctors in their specialty. We also provide the support and upskilling, including current diagnostic equipment, to ensure your ophthalmic knowledge and clinical skills are up-to-date and sustainable. The position is ideal for those current orthoptists who are seeking extra work.
